Why the “H.U.B.?”

A “HUB” is the nerve center; it is the center out of which other things radiate. A “HUB” is the center of it all! And now, God has called The Worship Center (TWC) to be the H.U.B. In accepting the call, we will Honor God, Unify Communities and Build People.

The Purpose of the HUB

The purpose of the HUB is to meet the needs of our members, the community, even the world by providing direction and applicable teachings from the Word of God. Our goal is to Honor God by changing lives. How will we do this? By offering relevant teachings for the family, eradicating homelessness, providing a safe place for kids so that becoming a part of gangs or hanging out in the streets is less desirable, showing teen moms that they are loved and how to love, ministering in prisons and providing second chances for those released, and stressing the importance of staying in school and the benefits of furthering education.

Infrastructure of the HUB

In order for TWC to accomplish the vision set before us, we must first have a proper infrastructure. Infrastructure is simply the basic, underlying framework of a system or organization. This means all aspects of our God-given assignment must be well thought out before our journey can begin. Planning is essential. We must have the proper systems and processes in place to support where God is taking us. Most importantly, the processes and systems must be in line with our journey and destination. Once in place, each area must then be filled with the right people. All efforts are meaningless unless we have the right people in the right places doing the right things for the right reasons. In accomplishing this, we understand that greater leadership development and training is required. We are committed to Building People.

The Future of the HUB

Now that our purpose has been established and the direction for our infrastructure has been set, what’s next? To sum it all up, God desires that we be a “one-stop shop.” We are the ministry that will meet the needs of all who long for something different, something more. We will provide wisdom and resources far beyond our own walls and our current means. We are called to bring people together to achieve one common goal, building the Kingdom of God. We will Unify Communities. In Acts 2, the body was unified. They had all things in common. This does not mean they were all alike, but they all had a heart for God. They understood that a relationship with God was more important than religious traditions. They understood they had a human responsibility to seek Him, trust Him and obey Him and in turn, He would cover, provide, protect, restore, rebuild, heal, answer, direct, remove, and so much more. It is our obligation to share Christ in a non-judgmental way so that people are unified through their attraction to God.

God is calling us to a new level in Him. He has called us to be the H.U.B.

How will you respond?
