Originating in 2006, The Worship Center has been favored by God in such a way that the original twenty members has blossomed into 6000. “How,” many ask, “is this possible?” Our response, Faith in God! God gave Pastor Van and his wife, Dr. Ty, a vision and although they did not know how it would come to fruition, they believed God. Stepping out in faith, they relocated from South Florida to Birmingham and began to “do” ministry. First, in the home of one of the original twenty. Next, at a meeting facility in downtown Birmingham. After that, services in a Seventh Day Adventist Church. But more people came and more space was needed. Finally, the purchase of a permanent home, with over 44,000 sq. ft., located just east of Birmingham. Then, a second location south of Birmingham in the rented auditorium of a high school. Followed by a second permanent location in Bessemer which is sited just west of Birmingham.

Now, only five years later, The Worship Center has two permanent facilities on opposite ends of Birmingham and over 30 functional ministries including Celebrate Recovery, a Prison Ministry and the Biblical Institute. But does the story end here? NO! In 2011, God gave The Worship Center the mandate to be “The H.U.B.” In all we do, we will Honor God, Unify Communities and Build People. We believe this directive will take us beyond Birmingham, but where, we don’t know. But we do know this…We Trust God and With Him All Things Are Possible.
