We dress casually because it is not about what you wear, but what you want. God is concerned with your heart. - Mark 7:6-8 (NIV)

Why do we stand during the reading of scripture?

We stand to honor and reverence the Word of God. - Nehemiah 8:5

Why is the NIV and Message Bible our translation of preference?

We use these translations because they are the most accurate English translations from the original Greek and Hebrew bible.

Why do we use flags during praise and worship?

In Exodus 17:15, Moses built an altar and named the place Jehovah Nissi, the Lord My Banner. The flag symbolizes Jesus as our banner. Different flags have different meanings and are symbolic of praise, worship, adoration, intercession and spiritual warfare. We physically wave flags to express our love and gratitude to Christ, our Savior. - Psalms 20:5

Why are musical instruments used in worship service?

Why do we bring God the tithe?

"Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour you out such blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," heaven and pour you out such blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," says the Lord of hosts. "And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land." says the Lord of hosts. -Malachi 3:10-12

Why do we give God offerings?

"But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." - II Corinthians 9:6-8

Why do some people place their offering on the altar?

The bible teaches us that giving is a form of worship. Passing the plate or bucket is a tradition and custom established by man. The Word of God is full of examples in the Old and New Testament where individuals in a form of worship brought their tithes and offerings to the Altar of God.
