What we believe about church membership
Ephesians 2:19 says, “You are a member of God’s very own family and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” This verse teaches us some very important truth about what the Bible teaches about church membership.
1) The church is a family. We are God’s household. We are a family. A spiritual family. Recognize that your spiritual family will outlast your blood family.
2) God expects us to be a member of a family. A Christian without a church family is like an NFL football player who does not want to play as part of the team or a Lieutenant who does not want to be part of the army. The fact is, we need each other to be strong in our Christian faith.
3) A Christian without a church family is an orphan. God says “You belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” There are at least 30 areas in the New Testament that cannot be fulfilled unless you are a part of a local church. Plus, everyone needs a place where they can love and be loved, give and be given to and serve and be served.
Who We Reach and How?
God has given a very clear mandate to The Worship Center. He has called us to reach the unchurched and to minister to those who want to grow. We will reach the masses through purposeful evangelism, intentional discipleship, powerful worship, creative and innovative ministry and continuous fellowship.
